MADISON HEIGHTS, MI - You’ll find it filled with lobster, oysters and sushi, among other choices. It’s one of the more popular buffets around and it has just been named the top buffet in all of Michigan by national food publication Mashed.

Fuji Buffet, located at 32153 John R Road in Madison Heights in Metro Detroit, is known for its array of seafood options along with fresh sushi, meats and more at the reasonable price of $18.98 for lunch and $25.98 for dinner on weekdays.

“Step through the doors and stop by the lobster tank to decide if you’d like to add a live lobster to the already wide-ranging buffet,” Mashed wrote about its top buffet in Michigan choice.

Mashed says it “set out on a grand tour” to find the best all-you-can-eat options in each state. The publication says it excluded buffet chains with a significant national presence like Golden Corral.

Frequent customer to the buffet, Elizabeth Weigandt said to MLive: “Any day of the week, it’s a lively melting pot of people from all walks sampling a mix of Asian cuisines with a few local favorites tossed in. I always start with sushi then work my way through the smorgasbord of seafood finishing with fruit and a healthy scoop of ambrosia.”

About Fuji Buffet, Mashed continued: “Even if you say no to crustaceans, you’ll have an aisle full of fresh fish to scoop in the sushi section alone. The selection of sea creatures runs as deep as the giant squid sleeps, slowly transitioning from fresh sushi to fried and steamed options with rows of oysters, mussels, crab legs, and peel-your-own crawfish. Fuji fills out its offerings with a decadent kimchi & seafood salad stand and a steamer station featuring chicken feet.”

Fuji Buffet is open Sundays through Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. - 9:30 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. - 10:30 p.m. It’s also open all holidays.
