Orlando hosts the longest-running Fringe Theatre Festival in the United States, now coming into its 32nd year.

More than 1,000 performers are staging a variety of productions at locations throughout the Orlando area.

“It’s a festival of theater, art, music and overall entertainment festival,” festival producer Tempestt Halstead said. “We have 11 different venues scattered throughout Central Florida, so mainly Loch Haven (Park) is central; but two venues on Church Street; then you have BYOV — bring your own venue — they’re partnering with us this year.

"Then we have site-specific shows, 120 different shows with over 1,000 ticketed performances. They’re lining up to place A frame to do promotion so they can get ticket sales because 100% of ticket sales go back to the artists.”

In order to attend performances, individuals must purchase a festival button, which supports the festival itself. Button-holders may then purchase tickets to individual shows (with ticket sales directly supporting artists).
