Pizza lovers, we have important news: After a three year break, the Boston Pizza Festival will return to City Hall Plaza this summer. Get ready to eat your weight in delicious slices topped with cheese, meats and even Nutella!

The pizza fest will feature over 30 of the best pizzerias in the New England and Greater Boston areas, along with select participating pizzerias hailing from Italy and beyond.

More than just a day of eating (not that there’s anything wrong with that!), the festival will include a children’s pizza tossing station, an interactive pizza-making demo with the Dough Connection, and live music and entertainment.

“From classic Margaritas to creative toppings and artisanal pies, the Boston Pizza Festival will showcase the very best of the vibrant pizza scene in Boston and beyond,” said co-director, Raffaele Scalzi. “We look forward to continuing to share our passion for pizza with fellow Bostonians and visitors as the festival returns to the city.

The pizza offerings will include vegan and gluten-free options, so everyone can enjoy a slice and all the pies will be cooked in Marra Forni artisan pizza ovens. And yes, wine and beer will be available to wash down all the cheesy goodness.

Which pizzerias will be there?

At this date, there’s already a strong confirmed line-up, including favorites from around the city and pizzerias from Calabria, the Amalfi Coast and even Detroit style pizza from the Motor City. The festival also promises a dessert booth with Nutella pizzas!
