According to Lee County property records, MIDFLORIDA Credit Union purchased the site for $5 million in November 2019 and is planning to build a new branch. The credit union currently has four locations in Southwest Florida, one in Cape Coral, one in Arcadia, and two in Naples.

The branch will join other businesses in the Cypress Lake Plaza, such as Costco, Chick-Fila-A, Homegoods, T.J. Maxx, and Bob Evans restaurant.
