Missing teen identified as body found in burned truck in Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — The Arkansas County Sheriff's Office reported that a body was found inside a burned vehicle in Stuttgart last week.

According to a news release, at around 5 p.m. on May 4, the body was discovered on Hartz Seed Road just outside of Stuttgart.

Detectives came to the scene for further investigation, afterward, the body was sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for identification.

The victim was identified as 18-year-old Johnny Howard who was reported missing last week.

The vehicle has been identified as a Ford F250 that was reported stolen on May 2, according to the sheriff's office.

The sherriff's office said the investigation is ongoing, and no further information will be released at this time.
