Tractor-trailer catches on fire on Route 30

Firefighters responded en masse to the scene of a tractor-trailer fire on Route 30 east Wednesday afternoon in West Manchester Township. Over two dozen emergency units, including hazmat crews, were called to the incident, according to York County Department of Emergency Services' 911 page.

The single-vehicle blaze began just before 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of West Market Street and Trinity Road, immediately shutting down eastbound traffic on Route 30. A nearby structure, home to Christmas Tree Hill at Westgate, also sustained damage from the flames. Emergency personnel were still on the scene as of 9 p.m.
