Knoxville Catholic basketball star Deondrea Lindsey will transfer to Oak Hill Academy in Virginia for the 2023-24 season, he announced Friday on Twitter.

The 6-foot-8, 205-pound power forward is the No. 1 player in the state and the No. 74 player in the country for the 2025 class, according to 247Sports.

In a separate tweet, the rising junior thanked the school for the two years he spent in the program.

"I want to thank @KnoxCatholic @catholic_hoops for the support that they have shown me the past two years. Thank you for welcoming me with open arms and being apart of the Irish family, and thank you to my coaches and teammates for believing in me."

Lindsey led Catholic to a 20-8 record in 2022-23. He has offers from Tennessee, SMU, Ole Miss, Georgetown and Georgia Tech.

Catholic is currently without a coach after Luke Smith resigned in April to become an assistant at Trevecca Nazarene University, a Division II program in Nashville.
