How to solve faded plaques in Diablo 4 Season 2

To solve faded plaques in Diablo 4, you’ll need to bring up the emote wheel and use an emote that lines up with what’s hinted at in the bold portion of the cryptic inscription. For example, the faded plaque in the south of Issalia’s Rise, Deep Forest, Scosglen, reads ‘ATONE..thy darkest…sins…’ which implies you need to use the Sorry emote to atone for your sins. But equally, you could be required to use the hello, taunt, open arms or any other emote depending on your specific inscription.

Tap E on your keyboard to bring up the Emote wheel (or press up on the D-pad if you’re playing on console), then select Sorry from the options. If Sorry isn’t in the wheel, you can add it by clicking the Customise button below then add it to a slice of the emote wheel. Remember to save changes.

Typically the corresponding emote is fairly easy to decipher so we don’t imagine you’ll have too much trouble figuring out what’s required to solve the faded plaque. Each faded plaque grants different rewards when you’ve sussed out the solution. For example, the ‘ATONE..thy darkest…sins…’ plaque gives you several healing potions. The plaque buffs range from a temporary barrier to new attacks, so they will come in handy during combat.
