A man’s body was found in Pompano Beach over the weekend, but it’s unknown who the man was and how he died.
Few details were available Monday. But the remains were in an “advanced state” of decomposition and it could take months to determine the identity and cause of death, a spokesman for the Broward Medical Examiner’s Office said.
Due to the condition of the remains, the Medical Examiner’s Office said it would have to work with an anthropologist in its investigation.
Someone found the remains about 2:20 p.m. Sunday in the 1800 block of Northwest Third Street, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.
