ALAN: GOOD EVENING TO YOU. TROOPERS SAY A VEHICLE HERE ON HIGHWAY 178 CROSSED THE CENTERLINE AND SLAMMED INTO AN SCDOT VAN CRYARING THREE EMPLOYEES, AND RIGHT NOW, SEVERAL FAMILIES ARE GRIEVING. CHARLES CHUCK KENNEDY WAS THE DRIVER OF THAT MAN. TROOPERS STILL IESTINVGATING THE CAUSE OF THE CRASH. >> HE SAID HE HAD THE CAR AND HE JUST KNEW HE WAS DEAD. THAT’S WHAT HE SAID. ALAN: AN ACCIDENT TAKING ONE LIFE AND INJURING THREE OTHERS. THE DRIVER OF AN SCDOT VAN KILLED. SCDOT SAYING IN PART, OUR HEARTS ARE BROKEN AGAIN AS WE SUFFER THROUGH THE DEATH OF YET ANOTHER SCDOT MEMBER. Crash happened Thursday morning on Highway 178 in Greenwood County

A second man has died following a crash Thursday in Greenwood County. The crash happened about 6:30 a.m. on Highway 178 near Scotts Ferry Road. Coroner Sonny Cox said Jonathan Titus, 24, of Bradley, died at the hospital Friday morning. Troopers said Titus' Chrysler 2000 hit a South Carolina Department of Transportation van head-on after crossing the centerline. Charles "Chuck" Barry Kennedy, 59, of McCormick, was driving the SCDOT van and was pronounced dead at the scene from blunt-force trauma, Cox said.South Carolina Department of Transportation Secretary Christy Hall said the SCDOT crew was on the way to a worksite. Two other people inside the van were injured.
