Woman killed in 2-car crash in the Berkshires

RICHMOND – One woman was killed and two other people were injured in a two-car crash Wednesday evening.

A 2012 Toyota Camry and a 2016 Honda Accord collided at about 5:30 p.m. on Route 41 near the intersection of Dublin Road, Massachusetts State Police said.

Three occupants of the cars were taken to Berkshire Medical Center by ambulance with injuries. A 73-year-old woman who was involved in the crash died shortly after reaching the hospital, police said.

Police will not release the name of the victim until her family can be notified.

The cause of the crash is being investigated by the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, Crime Scene Services Section and troopers assigned to the Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office. State Police were assisted at the crash by Richmond Fire and EMS and the West Stockbridge Police Department.
