A teenager from Tennessee is a suspect in a series of bomb threats made against San Jacinto High, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said.

The school received the threats from March 5 to Wednesday, March 13. Each time, deputies searched the school but did not find any bombs, a news release said. Investigators eventually connected a 16-year-old from Dyer, Tennessee, to some of the threats, the release said. Investigators are attempting to learn who made two other threats.

A report was sent to law enforcement in Tennessee so the teen can be prosecuted.

The Sheriff’s Department on Thursday declined to say how the threats were made, such as by telephone or social media, and what they said.

Threats that come from out of state are not unheard of. Youths ages 12, 13, and 14 from Illinois were arrested in February after students in Florida reported receiving text messages containing threats of shootings and bombings, Orlando television station Fox/35 reported.

While deputies remained on campus Wednesday, two students were arrested on suspicion of battery and resisting arrest following fights that broke out, said Sgt. Deirdre Vickers, a sheriff’s spokeswoman.
