Alabama Couple arrested, police locate 1.3 lbs. of meth, Suboxone films, and cash

ALEXANDER CITY, Ala. (WRBL) – An east Alabama couple is under arrest after safety checkpoint by police locates more than a pound of meth, Suboxone patches, cash and a gun.

On March 14th, 2024, the Alexander City Police Department carried out a routine safety checkpoint on Comer Street. A black Impala attempted to evade the checkpoint, leading officers on a brief pursuit as the occupants discarded items from the vehicle.

Police say a searche yielded approximately 1.2 pounds (538 grams) of Methamphetamine, digital scales, and a 9mm handgun. Additionally, authorities recovered 91 Suboxone Films which can treat dependence on opioid drugs, $1,060.00 cash.

Neville William Parker, a 47-year-old male from Ashland, Alabama, faces multiple charges, including Trafficking Methamphetamine and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Chassady Nicole Hudson, a 33-year-old female from Alexander City, Alabama, was also arrested on similar charges.

All evidence has been turned over to the Tallapoosa County Narcotics Task Force for further investigation and prosecution.
