Pedestrian Accident  on Van Buren Street Resulted in Fatality

INDIO, CA (August 26, 2022) – A pedestrian collision on Indio Boulevard claimed the life of one person Wednesday evening.

According to the report, officers responded to the fatal incident around 11:40 p.m., on Tuesday, southeast of Van Buren Street.

Investigators said a Toyota Scion struck a pedestrian for reasons still unclear.

Unfortunately, the male pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Although, their identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.

Meanwhile, the Toyota driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

At this time, Indio Officials are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the fatal pedestrian collection on Indio Boulevard.
