Richard Nestor Light OBITUARY

Richard Nestor Light, a long-time resident of Alamo, passed away at the age of 85. Born in Connecticut in 1938 and raised in Massachusetts, Richard earned his undergraduate degree at Yale University and his law degree from the University of Michigan. After moving to Sacramento and working for the Department of Water Resources, he joined the Attorney General’s office in San Francisco as a Deputy Attorney General and worked most of his career in the Antitrust Division until he retired in 2000. He met his wife, Pam, in Berkeley in 1972 where they married, and they settled in Alamo for the remainder of their 52 years of marriage. In addition to spending time with his family, Richard loved biking, rowing, hiking, and gardening.Richard is survived by his wife, Pam; his son Thomasmarried to Leti and their son William Richard; daughter Kristenmarried to JD, and their sons, Johnny and Hadley; and his brother Donald Light of Orleans, Massachusetts. He is predeceased by his brother, Glenn Light, and sister, Marjorie Akers.
