CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – Walden Street was closed between Varsity Drive and Pelham Street on Thursday for several hours, for an emergency cave-in repair.
Chesapeake Public Works alerted the public to the emergency work at 8:20 a.m.
Officials told 10 On Your Side about 30 feet of gravity sewer main is being repaired and replaced.
The work was completed and the Walden Street reopened at 4:15 p.m.
