Car Crash on Interstate 580 near Livermore Avenue Leaves One Dead

LIVERMORE, CA (July 20, 2023) – Sunday evening, one person died after a street-racing crash on Interstate 580.

The incident happened on July 16th, at around 5:32 p.m. on Interstate 580, near North Livermore Avenue.

According to reports, a Toyota Camry and a Chevrolet Camero were racing along the highway when the Camry became involved in a collision.

As a result, the three occupants of the Camry sustained injuries. Two of the occupants self-extricated from the vehicle and were picked up by a white SUV.

Meanwhile, a third victim was abandoned by the others. Emergency crews at the site of the collision found a third victim that had been ejected from the car. Officials pronounced the third victim dead at the scene.

At this time, police are still looking for the first two occupants of the Camry.
