Pine Bluff is home to a number of creeks, rivers and bayous including Bayou Bartholomew, the longest bayou in the world and the second most diverse stream in the United States. Another significant body of water, the Arkansas River, has had tremendous impact on the city's development including the nearby Port of Pine Bluff, the anchor of the city's Harbor Industrial District. As host to 30-35 bass tournaments each year, Pine Bluff and Jefferson County Regional Park has earned Pine Bluff the nickname of Bass Capital of the World.
