Margaret "Jean" Weuve, 81, of Colo, IA passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Story County Medical Center in Neveda, IA. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in State Center, IA. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 4, 2024, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in State Center. The family is requesting you wear your favorite Iowa State attire. Jean was born December 27, 1942, to Lynn and Helen (Jess) Kleinendorst in Newton, IA. She graduated from Newton High School in 1961 and went on to graduate from AIB College. She was united in marriage to Hank Weuve on May 10, 1963, in Des Moines, IA. Jean was employed with the USDA office in Ames, IA as an administrative secretary. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Jean enjoyed traveling, camping, and water skiing. She was an avid ISU women’s basketball fan. She loved to cook, embroider, and sew. Most of all, she loved watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports and other activities.

Jean will be missed by her husband, Hank, a daughter, Sherri Hunt of Wapello, IA, a son, Craig (Beth) Weuve of State Center, IA, four grandchildren; Ryan Hunt (Holly Reeves), Kaitlynn Hunt, Kalie (Austin) Schad, Mike Weuve, three great-grandchildren; Owen Klocksiem, Hayden Hunt, Ella Hunt, a sister, Barbara (Dennis) Hoover of Prairie City, IA, and a brother, Warren Kleinendorst of Boone, IA. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren; Bill Ricca and Charity Fazio.
