Duane Triplett, a cherished resident of Waterflow, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2024, at the age of 82. Born on December 7, 1941, in Ignacio, Colorado, Duane was the beloved son of Olen and Jennie Lee Triplett.

A proud veteran of the Army, Duane’s life was a testament to dedication, love, and service. He shared 57 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Beverly, forging a remarkable partnership centered around family, community, and shared passions.

Duane’s life was intricately woven into the fabric of Waterflow, where he and Beverly built a legacy intertwined with their children, grandchildren, and the vibrant 4H and rodeo community. His unwavering love for rodeo and his dedication to raising show steers left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Faith Elise Triplett, as well as his parents, Olen and Jennie Lee Triplett, his brother Troy Triplett, and sister Peggy Triplett.

Duane leaves behind a legacy of love and strength, survived by his devoted wife Beverly Triplett, his son Darrell Triplett and wife Angela, daughters Sheridan Bowen and husband Cliff, and Gail Silva and husband Hud. His memory will forever be cherished by his grandchildren Sydney, Danley, and Denton Triplett; Madi and Balie Bowen; Corrie, Joe, and Porter Silva, as well as his sister Jean Bixler.

Funeral services will be held at Farmington Funeral Home, with details to be determined. Pallbearers honoring Duane’s memory include Cliff Bowen, Hud Silva, Joe Silva, Porter Silva, Denton Triplett, and Willie Jim.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the 4 Corners Highschool Rodeo Team, reflecting Duane’s lifelong commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering a love for rodeo. Contributions can be sent to 200 North Church Ave, Aztec, NM 87410.

Duane Triplett will be fondly remembered for his unwavering spirit, his profound love for his family and community, and his enduring legacy of kindness and generosity. May his memory live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
