Permanent makeup artist in Falls Church helps women regain confidence
FALLS CHURCH, Va. (DC News Now) — Lizeth Alvarado may have majored in communications in college but her passion has always been beauty.
“When I was in high school, I did my friends’ hair and makeup,” she said.
Alvarado is the owner of Epic Beauty, where she is a master permanent makeup artist and more. It’s a skill she worked on developing over the years.

“I went to permanent makeup school, and when I was there, I learned that I could do aerial and nipple tattooing, which is a restoration project for breast cancer survivors after they continue breast reconstruction,” she said.
Alvarado started her journey at Epic Beauty about six years ago, helping many women to navigate life after breast cancer.
“Once they’re done with the aerial tattooing, they say ‘wow, I feel like myself again.’ I just love to see them happy,” she said. “It’s tough to watch someone go through this, that’s why it’s so important to celebrate each other while we’re here.”
Maryland veteran helps at-risk youth
Even after her job is done, she doesn’t just stop there. She also invites clients to a special event that she calls the Epic Beauty Day of Hope.
“It’s all complimentary,” she said.
In addition to her work at Epic Beauty, she also volunteers in the community alongside various organizations which give back to veterans, young people and those battling cancer.
