Male Bicyclist Killed in Deadly Collision on Audubon Drive

FRESNO, CA (January 27, 2022) – Wednesday afternoon, a man was fatally struck in a deadly bicycle accident on Friant Road.

The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. Crews responded to the scene near the intersection of Audubon Drive and Friant Road.

According to reports, a man was riding away from Woodward Park on a “recumbent-style bicycle”. As the driver of a truck was heading south on Friant Road, they struck the bicyclist while attempting to turn west onto Audobon Drive.

Due to the impact of the collision, medics later pronounced the male bicyclist dead at the scene. Authorities only described him as a man in his 50s.

At this time, further circumstances leading up to the deadly crash are still under active investigation. Once available, more information will be provided.
