U.S. Capitol Police Assistant Chief Sean Gallagher, along with retired FBI and law enforcement officials, testified on the investigation into pipe bombs found outside of the Republican and Democratic National Committee headquarters in Washington, D.C., on January 6, 2021. Members from the House Administration Committee Subcommittee on Oversight shared Capitol Police audio and video footage from that day and questioned witnesses on security failures. In addition, lawmakers stressed concerns about Vice President Harris being in close proximity to the bomb, lack of evidence, and having no suspect in the ongoing investigation. close
