UPDATE (6 p.m.) An Eight Mile woman previously thought to be missing wasn’t, in fact, missing at all, News 5 has learned.

It turns out, Janet Sullivan Watson, 75, was driving to North Carolina to see her son — but nobody in her family knew that, according to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office.

Watson has been found, and she’s safe, according to the MCSO.
