Shirley Peltz OBITUARY

It is with sad hearts that our family shares the passing of our mother. Shirley passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, in Redondo Beach, CA, on February 16, 2024 at the age of 86. Shirley was born in Iowa and moved to California when she was 12. She met the love of her life,Russell, in 1955. After three months of dating, theywere married in Las Vegas and celebrated 63 yearsbefore Russell’s passing in 2018. Russell & Shirleyraised three children in their Redondo Beach familyhome. Shirley loved sewing, baking, painting, gardening, beach walks, and all the birds andsquirrels that visited her backyard daily. She waspreceded in death by her husband, Russell. She issurvived by her three children: Anna (Tom) Reichenberg, Bill (Sheri) Peltz, Katie (Eric) Fritch;seven grandchildren (Kate, Beth, Nicole, Russell, Emily, Joe, Sarah); and, seven great-grandchildren (Scarlett, Camden, Everett, Everly, Joelle, Easton, Tanis). Shirley’s family and friends will miss her kind, gentle, and feisty nature. A private family service was held on Sunday, March 10, 2024.
