Man Dead, 11-Year-Old Girl Hospitalized after DUI Accident near Duncan Road

LINDEN, CA (July 5, 2023) – Friday afternoon, a father was killed and a daughter was hurt in a two-vehicle crash on East Comstock Road.

Authorities responded to the scene around 2:30 a.m., near North Duncan Road.

Per reports, the male driver of a vehicle ran through a posted stop sign and was consequently struck by another car.

Medics arrived and and pronounced the man, who was suspected to be under the influence, dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics took his 11-year-old daughter to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

In addition, crews also say the other driver sustained minor injuries.

Following preliminary duties, officers suspect that impairment may have been a contributing factor. At this time, San Joaquin County Officials are asking anyone with information about the Comstock Road DUI crash to contact them as soon as possible.
