One Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Accident near Lower Buckeye Road

BUCKEYE, AZ (July 7, 2023) – Late Monday afternoon, one victim was pronounced dead after a motorcycle crash on Loop 202.

Dispatchers received calls in the area around 4:30 p.m., near Lower Buckeye Road on May 22nd.

Investigators say the driver of a vehicle and a motorcyclist who was not wearing a helmet collided. However, further events leading up to the incident remain unclear.

First responders located the motorcyclist with life-threatening injuries upon arrival. Paramedics transported the rider to a nearby hospital where they eventually succumbed to their injuries.

Following preliminary duties, officers did not confirm if the involved driver was cited or arrested.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area near Lower Buckeye Road before it was later reopened around 6:30 p.m. At this time, an active investigation is still ongoing.
