Suzanne G. Tilton OBITUARY

81, of Pepperell.ColebrookSuzanne G. Tilton, 76, of Pepperell, Mass., died on Friday, March 8, 2024, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, N.H., with her family at her side.She was born on Oct. 19, 1947, in Hoopeston, Illinois. She went to school in the Chicago area and attended college in Lowell, Mass.Sue was an elementary school teacher and worked for several different schools, retiring from the Greenhalge School in Lowell. She later obtained certification as an LNA and worked at the Fairhaven Nursing Home in Lowell. Sue was a hard worker, always holding down more than one job to support herself and her family.She loved to help people and would give all that she had to do so. Throughout her life, she had many friends, all of whom remained so to this day. She loved to make things grow and she enjoyed gardening, both flowers and vegetables. She loved to crochet and her family will always remember her as a wonderful cook, always wanting to feed everyone who might show up for a visit. Sue enjoyed the ocean and going to the beach, and she loved to go out to the movies with family and friends. She also loved to play Scrabble with her friends, often winning the game even if she fell asleep between turns. She was the glue that kept her family together.Sue is survived by her children, Curtis Tilton, Jr., and his wife Racquel of Newport, N.H., Michael Tilton of Londonderry, N.H., and Amia Tilton and her partner Mike Bromaghim of Tyngsborough, Mass.; two grandchildren, Justin Tilton of Derry, N.H., and Wayne Lecuyer of Dracut, Mass.; and two great-grandchildren, Lucas Sanchez-Lecuyer and Sophie Tilton. Sue also had six siblings: David, Donald, Dan, Clyde, Marilyn, and Jeanne-Anne, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Ann Tilton.Condolences may be offered on-line by going to www.jenkinsnewman.com.Calling hours will be on Monday, March 18, 2024, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Jenkins & Newman Funeral Home in Colebrook, N.H.
