(KRON) — Police are investigating after a dead man was found in the bushes on the north side of Travis Boulevard near I-80 Wednesday morning, according to the Fairfield Police Department. Fairfield PD got a call shortly after 4 a.m.
A witness told police they saw the man lying in the bushes and that he did not appear to be breathing. Officers and personnel from the Fairfield Fire Department responded immediately.
The man was deceased when officers located him.
Fairfield PD is declining to release further details at this time. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
