Explore opportunities at the Marion Campus Job and Internship Fair

The annual A Marion Campus Job and Internship Fair will be held noon-3 p.m. April 10 in the Alber Student Center.

Hundreds of job seekers will connect with dozens of companies ready to hire. Marion Technical College, The Ohio State University at Marion, OhioMeansJobs-Marion County and Tri-Rivers Career Center partnered to host the event.

Job seekers and employers can sign up at bit.ly/MarionJobFair2024. Companies attending are leaders in health care, business, manufacturing, public safety and more. It is free to post a resume and browse employers. Free professional headshots for LinkedIn will be available.

“If you’re seeking a new career path or promotion, make sure to come to the Marion Campus Job and Internship Fair. Don’t miss the opportunity from the many innovative and thriving businesses in the Marion area,” said Roxane Somerlot, director of OhioMeansJobs-Marion County in a news release.

“We look forward to hosting the many employers that will once again be coming to our campus to connect with both students and community members. It was wonderful to hear the positive feedback from those that attended last year’s event and their success with securing internships. We hope to see many students take advantage of this great opportunity to network and connect with employers,” said Jane Arnold, coordinator of career services at The Ohio State University at Marion.

In a tight labor market, hiring is crucial. Employers meet with hundreds of potential employees in one stop. Companies can register at bit.ly/MarionJobFair2024.

“The road to a new job or promotion starts at the job fair!” said Kristi Butler, director of Career Services for Marion Technical College. “Whatever students need to get ready, from interview clothes to resume polishing to interview help, we are here to help them get to that next goal.”

“This event has consistently proven to be of value to our students, and we're excited to once again support it, said Kathleen Clemons-Keller, college and career readiness coordinator at Tri-Rivers Career Center. “This makes it a one-stop shop for young adults from the whole community. As we work to graduate a new workforce each year, events like these play a crucial role in Tri-Rivers' mission.”

OhioMeansJobs of Marion County will help any member of the public update a resume, prepare for an interview and more. Resources may be available for vouchers for professional clothing. Those ready to put their best foot forward can contact OMJ at 740-382-0076 or visit the office at 622 Leader St. in the center door.

College and high school students can turn to their schools for free help with all of their needs, including finding professional clothing for an interview.
