Zero fees: WA to get free public transport during holidays

Public transport across WA will be free for five weeks in a much-needed cost-of-living reprieve handed to families just ahead of Christmas.
Premier Roger Cook has announced the waiving of all fees for government-operated buses, trains and ferries from December 24 until January 28.
“We know rising interest rates mean families are doing it tough over the summer holidays – which can make it difficult to take the kids for a day out,” Mr Cook said.
“Every little bit helps, and our summer of free public transport can mean savings of around $30 for a family day out in the city.”
