Deborah Lynn Gibson, 63, born in Northbrook, Illinois, passed away on January 20, 2024, in Greeley, Colorado. She was born on April 6, 1960. Deborah, known as Deb, was a free spirit with a loving heart. She treated everyone with respect and kindness, and her uncomplicated and direct nature was admired by all who knew her. Deb had a deep love for animals and cherished her family and close friends. She was accepting, giving, and personally private, but was always up for an adventure and a good time. Deb appreciated the finer things in life but never let material possessions define her. One of Deb’s most heartfelt gestures was her long hugs, which were always genuine and filled with love. Deb had a captivating aura about her that was one of a kind and will never be matched. Deb is survived by her loving husband, Mark Gibson, her daughter Chelsea (Matt) Alles, her son Jason Wilkinson, her bonus daughter Autumn Gibson and Jackie Cruz, and her grandkids Isabelle Alles and Oaklee Pickrell. She is also survived by her mother, Lindamarie Vaughan, her sister Leslie Brandenburg, her brother Mark (Shannon) Vaughan, and her nephew Garrett Brandenburg. Deb was preceded in death by her father, Andy Vaughan, her grandparents Ferdinand and Marie Koeberl, and her aunt Margaret Koeberl. Deb had a successful career as an LPN for over 38 years with Banner Healthcare. Her dedication and compassion made a positive impact on the lives of many patients. In her free time, Deb enjoyed being with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She was always up for new adventures and exploring new places. She loved Hawaii and everything about it. She was able to live there for a few years after she graduated from high school. Deb had a keen interest in mythology and was intrigued by its stories and legends. She had a talent for writing and expressed herself eloquently through letters, journaling, and cards. She also would leave little notes with encouraging thoughts. Her genuine words will be cherished by those who received them. A ceremony to celebrate Deb’s life will be held on March 23, 2024 at the Platte River Fort in Kersey CO, at 11 am, located at 22999 US-34, Greeley, CO 80631.
