Test tube babies are now a Veterans Affairs benefit

.

Veterans, regardless of their marital status or ability to conceive children, can now go to a Veterans Affairs hospital or medical facility to get in vitro fertilization test tube babies on the taxpayer dime.

The Department of Veterans Affairs announced Monday that IVF treatments, which were previously only available to veterans with fertility problems caused by military service, would now be available to all veterans, including single women and those in same-sex relationships. The VA also announced that donor sperm and eggs could be used instead of the person’s own.

“This expansion of care has long been a priority for us, and we are working urgently to make sure that eligible unmarried Veterans, Veterans in same-sex marriages, and Veterans who need donors will have access to IVF in every part of the country as soon as possible,” VA Secretary Denis McDonough said in a statement.

The change in VA policy comes a few weeks after an Alabama Supreme Court ruling held that IVF embryos are human beings under the law and their destruction violated the law. Democrats, including President Joe Biden, attempted to use the ruling as evidence that Republicans were seeking to ban IVF.

With its new policy, President Joe Biden is using the VA to pander to voters in an election year by once again resorting to handouts. This time, the creation of children is now a commodity that can be bought by the taxpayer for veterans who would use them as a social accessory.

Furthermore, the Biden administration and the VA are encouraging children to be raised without a father. In effect, the new policy is meant to encourage single motherhood by depriving a child of their right to a two-parent home.

This despicable policy that commoditizes human life and will lead to the destruction of thousands of human beings should be immediately defunded by Congress.
