In 2023, one of Beale’s U-2’s flew at the California Capital Airshow, providing a rare public aerial display of the once top-secret spy aircraft.

Beale was also home to the SR-71 Blackbird, the fastest and highest-flying aircraft in the USAF’s history.

Today Beale AFB is home to U-2S, T-38 Talon and KC-135 Stratotanker.
