Colorado football coach Deion Sanders was enjoying a tropical vacation with his family that turned into a search and rescue mission. He took to Instagram to record the story of exactly what happened, and he confronted potential danger while sending out his cry for help.

Deion Sanders gets lost in the Dominican Republic

"I'm Dead lost in the Dominican! I just wanted to go on a nice lil jog and now I'm lost. HELP!" he wrote on Instagram along with the video explaining how he got lost.

According to his story, the two-time Super Bowl champ went out for a jog on a nearby golf course and wandered off toward the ocean to take pictures and view the beautiful scenery.

The only problem was finding his way back. After a failed "shortcut" left him confused, Prime Time's back tightened up, so he decided to sit down on the first bench he saw and record the video.

"Cat down there on the motorcycle, I don't know if he's waiting me out or I'm waiting him out," Deion said, while keeping his head on a swivel for any unfriendly locals. "Either way, it's going down if it go down!"

"I'm dead lost. That's bad when you go out for a jog and don't even know how to get back home... I don't even know how to say 'help' in Spanish," he remarked, summing up the misadventure.

Sanders: I'm not hard to find!

Eventually, Darius Sanders, a Colorado team employee not related to Deion, was able to locate the Buffs head man. Deion posted a video confirming he was okay with a poignant use of his catchphrase: "I'm not hard to find!" He even got home with enough daylight to catch a workout with his son, Shedeur Sanders.

CU fans in the Instagram comments joked that he needs Life Alert or an AirTag.

"The Lesson is we can't take short cuts even when it seems like the easy way," another jabbed in inspirational Coach Prime fashion.
