Boston Celtics vs. Detroit Pistons: Injuries and likely starting lineups

The Boston Celtics and Detroit Pistons will square off for one final tilt in the NBA’s 2023-24 season on Friday evening, this time at the Piston’s Little Caesar’s Arena. Both ball clubs are fielding lengthy injury reports as the stretch run inches closer to the 2024 NBA Playoffs for Boston, and the 2024 offseason for Detroit.

For the Celtics, Jrue Holiday (AC joint sprain) is out, and Jaylen Brown (right ankle sprain), Al Horford (toe sprain), Jayson Tatum (right ankle impingement), and Kristaps Porzingis (right hamstring management) are all listed as questionable. Sam Hauser (left ankle sprain) is listed as probable.

For the Pistons, Simone Fontecchio (toe contusion), Taj Gibson (right hamstring soreness), Quentin Grimes (right knee contusion), Isaiah Stewart (right hamstring strain), Ausar Thompson (medical illness), and Stanley Umede (right ankle fracture) are out.
