USC initially announced the closure of the University Park campus to the public at 8:15 p.m. on Saturday. While the university wasn’t specific in what the “disturbance” on campus was referring to, a growing number of protesters have taken to the school in recent days to voice their opposition to the Israel-Hamas War. "The ridging will continue to evolve, giving us a stronger offshore flow for the next couple of days," said KTLA 5's Kaj Goldberg. "That will give us some nice, warm temperatures as we head through much of this upcoming work week."

The Los Angeles Police Department issued a city-wide tactical alert in response to a disturbance at the University of Southern California campus Saturday night. The growing encampment on the campus of UCLA – one of many that have sprung up at colleges across the country – continues to be a point of contention between anti-war protesters, university officials and law enforcement. A counter-protest in support of Jewish students scheduled for 11 a.m. Sunday could escalate tensions even further, and a GoFundMe called “Bruins for Israel” has raised over $64,000 to bring a “huge screen and big, loud speakers” to Dickson Plaza for the demonstrators, according to the Daily Bruin – more than double the fundraiser’s goal of $26,000.  KTLA 5's Omar Lewis reports. A homeowner from the Lakewood area of Los Angeles County is shaken after watching a pair of thieves ransack her home on her security camera. The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. Thursday, when the property owners -- who do not want to be identified -- were not home. The homeowners witnessed the burglars breaking into their house on the Ring app.

They called 911 immediately, but deputies were not able to reach the Lakewood Drive home in time to catch the suspects. According to the homeowner, the burglars were inside the home for roughly four minutes and 30 seconds. The pair of suspects went to the upstairs bedroom and took multiple suitcases. They ransacked the rest of the home and stole cash, jewelry, and a safe.
