If there were any questions about Stanford being "tight end University" this past week of free agency certainly helped silence them.

For what is now the fourth time in the past couple of weeks, a former Stanford tight end has inked a new deal. Dalton Schultz re-signed with the Houston Texans, Zach Ertz signed with the Washington Commanders, Colby Parkinson signed with the Los Angeles Rams, and most recently Austin Hooper signed with the New England Patriots.

The one-year deal Hooper's with the Patriots is worth up to $4.25 million, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.

Hooper didn't have an ideal year with a struggling Las Vegas Raiders team, recording 25 catches for 234 yards with no touchdowns through 17 games.

It was the first time during his eight-year NFL career that he didn't amass at least 30 catches outside of his rookie season. Throughout his career, Hooper racked up 364 catches for 3,702 yards, and 25 touchdowns across 122 games played.
