Live updates: Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in the Southland Conference Championship Game

The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's basketball team plays in its first Southland Conference Tournament championship game since 2019 on Thursday.

Paige Allen scored the final eight Islanders points of the game, including the go-ahead basket with 4.7 seconds remaining to push A&M-Corpus Christi past Southeastern Louisiana 60-59 and into the final against top seed Lamar.

The Cardinals and Islanders played two tight matchups during the regular season, each decided by six points or fewer, both won by Lamar.

A&M-Corpus Christi is playing for its first-ever berth in the NCAA Tournament.
