A tragic motor vehicle accident in southeast Austin claimed one life and left another individual with serious injuries early Monday morning, according to Austin-Travis County EMS officials.
The incident occurred around 3:11 a.m. in the 7000 block of S. Hwy. 183 near the Planeview Dr. intersection. One adult patient was pronounced dead at the scene, while another adult patient was rushed to Dell Seton Medical Center with potentially life-threatening injuries.
The injured patient received blood at the scene before being transported to the hospital under a trauma alert status.
