Redbud Elementary earns national honor

Round Rock's Redbud Elementary School has received national recognition as one of the best inclusively designed schools in the country.

Opened in September 2021, Redbud is considered to be the first school in Texas with features specifically designed to respond to the challenges COVID-19 presents to a school environment. At the heart of the school sits a giant redbud tree with branches connecting to all three wings.

The school is filled with sensory experiences to create an exciting learning environment for the school community, allowing students to connect to nature through abundant natural light, outside views, organic geometries, materials, and color selection.

ProCare Therapy, a national staffing agency for teachers and school therapy professionals, recognized Redbud as one of the best inclusively designed schools in the nation.
