Man Killed in Off-Road Crash near SC186

MOJAVE, CA (October 13, 2022) – Late Saturday afternoon, an off-road accident on Highway 14 claimed the life of Christopher Wright. 

The fatal incident occurred around 5:15 p.m., about 3 miles west of Highway 14, near trail marker SC186.

According to initial reports, an off-road vehicle collided with another off-road vehicle for reasons currently under investigation.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, responding officials declared one person dead at the scene. The Kern County Coroner’s office later identified the deceased victim as 48-year-old Wright, of Palmdale.

The condition of the other involved driver is unknown at this time.
