President Of Lithuania: European Future Awaits Belarusians

Gitanas Nausėda congratulated the people of Belarus on Freedom Day.

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda congratulated the people of Belarus and the Belarusians of Lithuania celebrating Freedom Day on March 25, Delfi writes.

In his congratulations, the head of state noted that this day is “a day of reflection about the future — the European future of Belarus, in which all Belarusians will enjoy all the freedoms and opportunities that they deserve.”

He emphasized that Lithuania continues to actively support Belarusian civil society and strives to ensure that the voices of Belarusians are heard in the international community.

“Today, as every day, I want to once again assure you that Lithuania’s support for democratic Belarus, its independence and sovereignty is unshakable. We support the desire of all the people of Belarus to live in a free and democratic state,” the head of state is quoted as saying in the message.

The President wished Belarusians to remain strong and united, to continue to fight for the freedom of their country, not allowing their state to be used in military aggression against Ukraine.
