The results of the Dhaka University admission tests of all units for the academic year 2023-24 were published on Thursday.

DU vice-chancellor porofessor ASM Maksud Kamal announced the results at about 3:30pm at Abdul Matin Chowdhury virtual classroom.

The pass rate for the arts, law and social sciences unit is 10.07 per cent as 10,275 candidates pass the examination out of 102,000 students.

In the unit, Priyanti Mandal of Govt MM City College, Khulna, topped from humanities group, Zubayda Jahan of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College secured first position from science and Israt Jahan Ekta of Jatir Janak Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman College was in top from business studies.

A total of 1,09,363 aspirants appeared for the science unit examination. Of them, 9,723 candidates passed, resulting a pass rate of 8.89 per cent.

In science unit, Protik Rosul of Notre Dame College topped from science group, Nafisa Tabassum of Laxmipur Government College was in top from humanities, Sadia Afrin of Ideal School and College ranked first from business studies.

The pass rate for the business studies unit is 13.33 per cent as 4,582 aspirants passed the examination out 34,367 candidates.

In this unit, Athey Dhar of Govt Commerce College topped from business studies group, Mahtab Sarker Jame of BAF Shaheen College (Kurmitola) ranked first from science, Ridwanul Karim Raian of Rajshahi Cadet College secured first position from humanities.

Meanwhile, the pass rate of fine arts unit is 11.75 per cent as a total of 530 aspirants passed the examination out of 4,510 candidates.

In the unit, Md Badhon Talukder of Bir Shreshtha Munshi Abdur Rouf College topped, Irin Jahan Ontora of Adamjee Cantonment College secured the second position and Ribhu Roddur of Bir Shreshtha Munshi Abdur Rouf College became third.

The results can be checked on the university website, admission.eis.du.ac.bd or via SMS.

The qualified students must fill up subject choice forms through the website between April 3 and April 25.

Selected candidates in different quotas will have to collect the quota form from the office of the dean of the respective faculty from April 21 to April 25 and submit it to the same place along with the subject preference list, duly filled up.

For reviewing the results, candidates can submit applications at the office of the dean of the respective faculty from March 31 to April 4 during office hours by paying a fee of Tk 1000.
