Friday morning commuters heading toward downtown Seattle should brace for delays.

Northbound traffic on Interstate 5 was backed-up five miles at one point after a collision shortly before 7 a.m. blocked the two right lanes, just south of Interstate 90, according to WSDOT.

Details about the crash weren’t immediately available, but State Patrol and fire crews responded to the scene.

WSDOT said roads were cleared shortly before 8:30 a.m., but warned of continued delays until traffic clears.
