High School Athlete of the Week polls

Catelyn Beckersley, Leander softball

Beckersley had three hits in three at bats, scored twice and drove in three runs with two doubles as the Lions beat Liberty Hill 9-7 on March 8.

Mikala Ham, Vista Ridge softball

Ham struck out 14 batters in a 4-1 complete game win over Stony Point on March 8. She's averaging just under two strikeouts per inning on the season.

Dana Kardonik, Westwood tennis

Kardonik has been instrumental in the Warriors' tennis success, helping them win a team tennis state title and placing third in the individual state championships, and this season has led Westwood to an unbeaten district season.

Adelaida Sierra, San Marcos softball

Sierra struck out 13 batters as the Rattlers lost 4-0 to Schertz Clemens, the No. 2-ranked team in Class 6A. Two weeks ago she tied a school record with 18 strikeouts.

Stella Tatum, Anderson soccer

Tatum had a hand in all three goals as the Trojans beat Dripping Springs 3-0 on March 8: she scored a goal, assisted on a goal and was fouled, which resulted in a penalty kick that was converted by a teammate.
