The show, which lands on Netflix March 21, premiered Friday night during South by Southwest. We don't want to reveal too much as the show is in the mystery genre, but we can tell you the gist of the series. It follows scientists in both 1960s China and present-day England. Science itself starts to go awry in 2024 and we're thinking that is somehow connected to the 1960s timeline.

We caught up with the cast ahead of the premiere.

Marvel's Benedict Wong plays a counterterrorist operative and the actor took his role seriously — Wong turned the table on members of the press waiting for him on the red carpet, snapping photos of the photographers and reporters lined up in waiting.

"You took a picture of me and I took a picture of you," Wong said to American-Statesman photographer Sara Diggins before pulling up a photo of her on his phone. "I thought, 'No you're not getting me, I'm getting you.'"
