SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A man led Springfield Police on a chase after officers tried to pull him over.

The Springfield Police Department (SPD) said plainclothes officers were conducting surveillance on a man with outstanding warrants at around 9:45 p.m. on March 13 when they attempted to make a traffic stop at Chestnut Expressway and Cedarbrook.

The suspect intentionally struck a patrol car before leading officers on a pursuit that ended on Grand Street.

The suspect was arrested on the outstanding warrants and for assaulting a police officer. A passenger in the vehicle was also arrested.

No one was hurt in the incident and the patrol vehicle suffered minor damage.
