Breaux Bridge man killed in single-vehicle crash
ST. MARTIN PARISH, La. (KLFY) — Louisiana State Police reported one man has died in a single-vehicle crash in St. Martin Parish.
LSP said troopers were notified of a single-vehicle crash on La. Highway 3039, south of La. Highway 349, shortly after 2 p.m. Tuesday. The crash claimed the life of 52-year-old Kyle David Theriot of Breaux Bridge.
Officials said an investigation revealed the crash occurred as Theriot was driving a F-150 north on La. 3039, and for reasons still under investigation, failed to navigate a curve and exited the roadway. Upon doing so, the vehicle entered a ditch and struck a culvert.
Theriot was unrestrained and was pronounced dead at the scene by the St. Martin Parish Coroner’s Office, authorities said.
Impairment is unknown, and a toxicology sample was obtained for analysis. This crash remains under investigation.
