With just a few hours left to go before the release of Chained Soldier episode 9, Izumo’s sudden declaration of love for Yuuki still weighs heavily on fans’ minds. As shown in the trailer, the main focus of this episode is the humanoid Shuuki, who could be Yuuki’s sister.

Izumo tells Kyouka that she wants Yuuki to transfer to her squad. She confesses that she loves Yuuki and wants to make him her pet. Although Kyouka firmly rejects the proposal, she ends the conversation by saying she can’t control Yuuki’s free time.

Izumo is delighted with Kyouko’s answer and sneaks into Yuuki’s room at night. She asks him to be her boyfriend, but Yuuki says he needs time to decide. Before she could pressure him to answer, they were caught and reprimanded by Kyouko.

Kyouko and the rest of Squad 7 experiment with the forms Yuuki takes when Nei and Shushu are in control. Nei’s form is revealed to be more suitable for scouting missions, while Shushu offers a slower and tankier form.

Yuuki offers to take Nei to school to find out her motivation for joining the agency. She revealed her backstory, telling him she had lost her parents and the Mato Mishap and hoped to find them.

Meanwhile, Kyouka and Izumo meet with the Supreme Commander to discuss how to deal with the humanoid Shuuki. The commander tells them to avoid engaging with the humanoid shuuki until she authorises it. Although Kyouko and Izumo strongly agreed with the decision, they agreed. The episode ends with Izumo fighting a new kind of Shuuki.
